ADCO Hearing Products is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) federal contractor focused on the hearing healthcare and assistive technology space. We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Government Business Development Manager to join our team.
ADCO Hearing Products offers a friendly, non-corporate environment. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position working within our office in Littleton, CO.
The Government Business Development Manager position here at ADCO Hearing Products is responsible for a diverse number of responsibilities, primarily focused on the development of new business within the VA Healthcare System and other federal agencies.
Essential Functions:
- Develop new business within the government space, to include (but not limited to) the VA healthcare system
- Oversee and manage Government Liaison employee who is currently responsible for (VA) outreach and sales activities
- Strengthen relationships with existing federal customers beyond the VA Healthcare System
- Identify new growth opportunities, leverage contracts, identify new contracting opportunities, assist in contract activities/bid preparation as needed
- Identify opportunities and leverage relationships with manufacturing partners and other SDVOSBs
- Collaborate on federal marketing activities and assist marketing agencies as needed
- Help to organize events and outreach activities specific to federal sales and brand awareness, and participate in VA Industry Day Events, conferences, trade shows and other events to ensure successful outcomes. This position requires travel and the ability to manage travel budgets, ROI and other aspects specific to events and opportunities.
- Prepare monthly reports, review risks and develop strategies specific to government sales and growth opportunities.
- Develop, and hold accountable, expectations for Government Liaison for monthly reports and expectations
- Develop new and refine existing CRM processes to ensure proper customer management
- Create affiliate network for monthly (or more) on-site touch points at every key VA facility
- Analyze existing government sales channels (both on and off contract) and identify areas of weakness or opportunities for growth.
- Analyze contracts and tracing reports to find growth opportunities. Work with agencies or prime vendors to find opportunities for greater coverage and/or sales within contracts/contracted items.
- Review VA facility sales on a monthly basis, determine and oversee (and/or help execute as needed) any action items needed to ensure the facility is consistently ordering from ADCO.
- Develop strategies and plans to ensure growth within each VISN
- Work with Government Liaison to build strong relationships and credibility within every VA facility
What You Will Need to be Successful:
- A proven understanding of the Veterans Administration procurement system (particularly open market) is required for this position
- A strong understanding of the procurement system in the federal government (agencies other than the VA) is preferred but not required
- An understanding of the VA prosthetics and logistics operations
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team – ADCO is a small business, and we frequently share responsibilities (i.e. inbound phone calls during high volume days, support during time off for other team members, etc.) when needed to support one another. - The ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Travel schedules vary monthly and are largely dictated by opportunities developed by this position and our Government Liaison. This will include trade shows, on-site trainings at hospitals, conferences and other opportunities. This position is responsible for the coordination and successful execution of almost all travel specific to our government outreach.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 (salary for this position is based on prior medical sales experience within the VA Healthcare System, DLA and other federal agencies). This is not a commissioned position.
