The Earway Pro is a single-use cerumen removal device designed for efficient, on-the-spot wax extraction in clinical settings. Rather than a traditional loop or scoop tip, the Earway Pro uses a flexible helical open-profile tip that rotates into the ear canal to collect cerumen and draw it out as a single cluster. Measurement markers on the device indicate the remaining distance to the tympanic membrane, providing a safety reference during the procedure.

Available in three sizes to accommodate varying canal diameters, the Earway Pro is suitable for patients aged 12 and older. Each pack contains 25 single-use devices. The manufacturer recommends sizing up for maximum efficacy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size Earway Pro should I use for my patient?

The Earway Pro is available in Small (4.2mm), Medium (5.4mm), and Large (6.5mm). The helical tip should fit the entry of the ear canal without forcing or leaving excess space around it. Most clinicians find the Medium (purple) size suits the majority of adult patients. If the helix does not make contact with the canal walls during rotation, move to the Large (green) size. The manufacturer recommends sizing up for maximum efficacy.

How does the Earway Pro remove ear wax?

The helical tip is placed at the entry of the ear canal and rotated inward using the handle wheel. As it rotates, the helix collects cerumen and extracts it as a single cluster when withdrawn. Begin rotating as soon as the tip is placed at the canal entry to help the patient gradually adjust to the sensation.

What type of cerumen works best with the Earway Pro?

The Earway Pro works best with soft, sticky cerumen. For harder or more compacted wax, the manufacturer recommends using softening drops prior to the procedure to improve both efficacy and patient comfort. The device is not effective with runny or liquid earwax.

Is the Earway Pro reusable?

No. The Earway Pro is a single-use device. Reuse risks cross-contamination between patients, and using the same helical tip more than twice can deform the tip geometry, reducing efficacy and potentially causing patient harm.

Is the Earway Pro available through federal contract?

ADCO Medical Suppliers holds active contracts under GSA, MSPV, DAPA, and FSS. Federal healthcare facilities including VA clinics and DoD audiology departments can procure the Earway Pro through those channels. Contact ADCO Medical Suppliers for contract-specific ordering details.
